KitchenFitly (“KitchenFitly,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected when you visit KitchenFitly.com, how it may be used or shared, and the choices available to you.
KitchenFitly provides research-based kitchen-appliance guides and participates in affiliate advertising programs. We do not sell products or process retail orders directly.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
We collect information you choose to provide when you email us or otherwise contact us, such as your name, email address, message, and any supporting information you include. If comments or another interactive feature are enabled, the information submitted through that feature may also be collected.
Information collected automatically
When you use the website, KitchenFitly and its service providers may automatically receive technical and usage information, including:
- IP address and approximate location derived from it;
- browser, operating system, device type, language, and screen information;
- referring and exit pages, pages viewed, links clicked, and visit dates or times;
- cookie identifiers and information about consent choices; and
- security, diagnostic, and server-log information.
We do not intentionally ask visitors to provide sensitive personal information through this website.
2. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, and similar technologies may be used to keep the site functioning, remember preferences, measure traffic, protect the site, attribute affiliate referrals, and—when advertising is active—deliver or measure advertisements.
Cookies may include:
- Necessary cookies: support security, network management, consent records, and core site functions.
- Analytics cookies: help us understand visits and improve content.
- Advertising cookies: may help deliver, limit, personalize, or measure advertisements where enabled and permitted.
- Affiliate cookies: may help a merchant or affiliate network attribute a qualifying action after you follow an affiliate link.
Where applicable law requires consent, non-essential cookies should be used only after the relevant choice is made through an available consent message. You can also restrict or delete cookies through your browser. Blocking cookies may affect site features, analytics, advertising preferences, or affiliate attribution.
3. Google Analytics
KitchenFitly uses or may use Google Analytics through Google Site Kit to understand how visitors use the website. Google Analytics may collect information such as page views, session statistics, approximate location, browser and device information, and a client identifier stored in a first-party cookie such as _ga. We use aggregated reporting to evaluate site performance and improve our guides.
Google explains how it processes information from sites that use its services at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You may also review the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
4. Google AdSense and Advertising
KitchenFitly uses or may use Google AdSense. When advertising is displayed, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, personalize, limit, and measure ads, detect fraud, and generate reporting. Depending on your location, consent choice, and our settings, ads may be personalized or non-personalized.
You can review or manage Google advertising choices through My Ad Center. You may also learn about industry opt-out choices at YourAdChoices. These third-party tools are controlled by their respective providers.
5. Amazon Associates and Other Affiliate Links
KitchenFitly participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and may participate in other affiliate programs. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
When you click an affiliate link, you leave KitchenFitly and visit the merchant’s website. The merchant or affiliate network may receive referral information and use cookies or similar technologies to attribute purchases or other qualifying actions. KitchenFitly may receive commission and aggregated reporting, but we do not receive your complete Amazon payment-card details or control Amazon’s checkout process.
Please review the Amazon Privacy Notice and the privacy policy of any other merchant you visit. For additional information about our commercial relationships, see our Affiliate Disclosure.
6. How We Use Information
We may use information to:
- operate, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the website;
- respond to questions, correction requests, or other communications;
- understand traffic, content performance, and reader interests;
- improve guides, navigation, accessibility, and site performance;
- measure affiliate referrals and, where active, advertising performance;
- detect spam, fraud, abuse, or security incidents; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce site policies.
7. Legal Bases for EEA, UK, and Similar Jurisdictions
Where a legal basis is required, processing may rely on your consent (for certain cookies, analytics, or advertising), our legitimate interests in operating and improving the website, performance of a requested service such as responding to your inquiry, or compliance with a legal obligation. You may withdraw consent through an available consent control or browser setting; withdrawal does not affect processing completed before withdrawal.
8. How Information May Be Shared
We may share information only as reasonably necessary with:
- hosting, caching, security, analytics, advertising, email, and technical service providers;
- Amazon and other merchants or affiliate networks when you follow their links;
- professional advisers, authorities, or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and security; and
- a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or transfer of website assets, subject to applicable law.
We do not publish contact messages as testimonials or marketing content without permission.
9. Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising
KitchenFitly does not sell personal information for money. Some privacy laws may define certain advertising-cookie activity as “selling,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising even when no money changes hands. Where those laws apply, you may request to opt out by contacting us, using an available privacy or consent control, or enabling a legally recognized browser signal where supported.
10. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including security, recordkeeping, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. Retention periods vary by data type and service provider. Contact correspondence may be retained while it remains relevant; server, analytics, consent, affiliate, and advertising records are retained according to our settings and the applicable provider’s policies.
11. International Data Transfers
KitchenFitly and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Privacy laws and protections may differ. Where required, service providers may use recognized safeguards for international transfers.
12. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, or an appeal of a privacy decision. You may also have the right to opt out of certain sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising activity and to lodge a complaint with a privacy regulator.
To make a request, email info@kitchenfitly.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line and describe your request and country or state of residence. We may need to verify the request and may deny or limit it where permitted by law. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
For cookie-related choices, use any consent controls displayed on the site and your browser settings. Browser settings alone may not remove information already processed.
13. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect the website and information. No online transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Do not send payment-card numbers, passwords, government identifiers, or other sensitive information by email.
14. Children’s Privacy
KitchenFitly is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.
15. External Links
The website links to Amazon, manufacturers, retailers, publishers, and other third parties. Their privacy and security practices are governed by their own notices. KitchenFitly does not control third-party websites or transactions.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, providers, practices, or legal obligations change. The updated version will be posted here with a revised “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the website where appropriate.
